I’ve been opening cases since the CS:GO days, and now with CS2 my inventory looks decent. But I honestly don’t know if I should sell some skins now or wait. I see people saying “this skin will rise” or “this one will tank,” but how do you know for sure? I don’t want to miss the chance to sell at a good price, but I also don’t want to throw away skins that might get more valuable. Any tips on tracking skin value trends?

The only way I managed to get some clarity on this was by looking at detailed price history and comparisons. On csmarketcap.com you can actually see how specific skins performed across different markets, not just Steam. It’s convenient because you can check long-term trends, commissions, and even see which platform has the best rates. I started using it whenever I wasn’t sure whether to sell or hold — it helps a lot to base decisions on real data instead of random guesses.
