I am using your Advanced Guestbook 2.2 and in the "General Settings" of the Administration area, I have the HTML code "disabled". However, people are STILL able to leave HTML code in the comment field! I've had to add a lot of HTML code to the Censor Words list in order to stop it. One hacker was able to install a code that would send your browser off to an Arab terrorist site when the guestbook was opened. What is the problem with this script? Why doesn't the "disable HTML" work? ''

It does.

Only for guestbook entries not comments IIRC.

Check the stickies in the advanced guestbook forum for possible solutions (if any, can't remember).

You may wish to consider upgrading to 2.4.1, more info, again, is in the advanced guetbook forum.

Turning off HTML should turn it of for both entries and comments.

Disabiling HTML in my version 2.2 definitely DOES NOT work. I have it checked in the General preferences, but as I said in my initial posting, low-life visitors are still posting HTML in the Comment field. I had to solve it with the Bad Words list. Maybe I'll upgrade. How hard is that and where do I find the upgrade?

It's quite easy to upgrade AFAIK.
Check out the stickies in the advanced guestbook forum.
