Hi Tim,

This is what I've gleaned from reading other posts on this topic:

All files except /public, /tmp & /templates should have permissions set to 755.

/public, /tmp & /templates permissions should be set at 777.

Base_url in config.inc.php (near the bottom of the page) ($GB_PG["base_url"] = "http://www.your_site.com/your_guestbook_directory"

Environment variable safe_mode should be Off.

Environment varianle file_uploads ihould be On.

(You can view your environment variables by logging into the Advanced Guestbook Admin and using the link at the top of the page that says "To check your environmental variables, click here.")

good luck!

Yeah I know. Yahoo was not my choice... I'm trying to help someone else get this running on their site. it works fine on my site that's hosted by Site5. Interestingly, the person doing this has the same version of Advanced Guestbook running on another Yahoo hosted site and it works just fine. The difference is that the on that works was installed by Yahoo itself back when they offered it free to their customers. The new site that doesn't work was installed by running install.php. Hmmmm.... in order to that, we had to set up MySQL database. The database has a different username & password than the one used to FTP to the site. Could this be the problem? Maybe the passwords have to be the same?

Well.... you were right. It didn't fix the problem, but thanks for straightening me out on that.

I have an ISDN line and if I watch my router while the SHOULD be posting, it appears to be quite busy and takes some time to finish, but... no photo.

The site is hosted by Yahoo. Is it possible that they are somehow blocking uploads?

Hello,

After perusing several posts on this topic, I still cannot get photos to upload to a guestbook. (the guestbook in questio is located at http://www.adventurecat2/guestbook.)

All files except /public, /tmp & /templates have permissions set to 755. /public, /tmp & /templates are set at 777.

Base_url in config.inc.php is set correctly ($GB_PG["base_url"] = "http://www.adventurecat2.com/guestbook/"

Safe mode is Off.

File uploads in On.

I don't know what else to try! Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

jonesaroo
