I'm running (at least attempting to) Guestbook 1.51... Which I think is an amazing guestbook! On my Macintosh, OSX built in Apache Server....

Okay... the same ol' problem for the zillionth time... When I click the "Sign Book" button, the resulting page gets that same old error code
"Cannot create ID file guest_id.txt in /book. Please check your base directory." I chmoded 777, 755, and 666 both the file and the directory "book".... Nothing.... It's getting pretty annoying, because i'm sure it's just a little thing I'm looking over....

Any suggestions, or help would be most appreciated!

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Whenever I try an add a link to any page i get message:

Cannot add entry to link page because the comment
 was not found in ffa-education.htm

(or with details of whatever page i've selected from Categories)

yet that line IS in the .htm file.

Any help apprciated please.

Maybe i'm so stupid, but i just can't get it work properly.

So here are the main problems:

Problem #1
I've included the poll_cookie.php as a require(); command and pasted the code inside my .php files (works the same) - but still - users can vote as many times as they whant. They just need to close the browser and open it again. (no 24 hours expiration)

This was the main one.

Problem #2
When someone votes from page that has an adress with variables (ex. /index.php?mode=news&daytime=evening) - he gets a results redirection to the same page but with no variables in fact. so everything after the .php extension of a page is just cut away.

Problem #3
The randomizer does not work. It sais that there is no poll with such an id. Note: that it still works when you give the id or the newest command.

I have a problem!! Check out www.skatedorks.com/main.htm and once you vote, you'll see that only the template loads, not the last viewed page!!! How do I fix this? Where is it in the code?

Kann mir jemand sagen wie ich das richtig machen kann ??? Die chmod rechte hab ich alle so wie in der readme gesetzt

Ich habe gerade ein großes Problem und zwar will ich eine Art Forumserver aufmachen...

Nur das Problem ist, egal wo ich suche, ich finde immer nur Forenserver als Perl CGI Script oder sowas.

Ich hätte es aber viel lieber (naja ehrlichgesagt bekomme ich die CGI scripte bei mir nicht zum laufen

) in PHP mit mySQL anbindung.

Kennt von euch jemand eine Url oder ein derartiges script?
