I am having the same problem! It give the following error when some one votes.

then they can vote again.
Is there a premisson problem?

Hi, im a newbie to cgi and perl, and im having trouble with the top downloads script. I've uploaded chmod everything correctly, but whenever i enter the http://members.webavenue.org/dbzpsy/cgi-bin/download.pl?admin=enter, all that happens is a download attempt of the download.pl file. Please help!

Has anyone managed to do this with advanced guestbook 2.3.1?

I want to put 3 php includes in the header and footer template files, this doesn't work with the script as it is now, anyone know how to go about this?

log into the administrator and go to General Settings. Then look way down at the Miscellaneous area and look for Check. On the right of Check you should get 2 options you can adjust:

no checking
IP table locking timeout x hours
----------------------------------------------------------

Change the "no checking" to "Ip table" and make the "locking timeout" the number of hour(s) you want the poll to disable a person from voting in a certain time.

after a user vote, and it is bring him back to the result and when he revisit my site. the poll will ask him to vote

how can i stop that?

This is occuring quite often now.

My theory is that the text version of the poll can't handle a few people voting at the exact same time.

Well.......looks like many people were pretty frustrated with setting up this Advanced Poll.......I had made an Advanced Guestbook 2.3.1 Guide before and it helped a whole lot of people.

check with your server to get the correct base directory for http docs

example..my base directory for http is

"/home/httpd/vhosts/usernam.com/httpdocs/";

if you put the files into a folder inside your httpdocs directory named "links" it would look like this

"/home/httpd/vhosts/username.com/httpdocs/links";

you will need to change this information in you links.pl file
