You shouldn't have deleted the samples. They are the key to understand how to use the poll in an html page, by using the demos. They are part of the demos.

Have you tried changing the mode of guest_id.txt and chmoding it to 777 ?

I have installed it no problems on a different website, but the same server and as far as i know im doing the same thing again...

I already deleted all the files... I just gave up.

I decided to use the advanced version instead, I'll attempt to tackle it tomorrow.

You mean the screen after you sign the guestbook? The redirection screen showed up with the template on it ... cause everyone else says it's not working ... meaning they see a white screen with the ads all at the bottom instead of a screen that looks like the rest of the guyesbook and web site ... am I making sense?

I've got the script installed properly. I deleted the first three sample polls because I obviously don't want them on my site. I created 5 more polls for random use - only to learn that the IDs were 4,5,6,7,8 instead of 1,2,3,4,5. Now everytime I try to get the poll running it says POLL ID DOES NOT EXIST. I'm php and html retarded so I'm having a lot of trouble here.

Can someone help me out with a few things:
1. what code do I put in my HTML
2. where do I put the code
3. what .php do i refer my i-frame to

How can I rearrange the entries to make them display starting from post #1, #2, and so on? Right now, my first entry is labeled #4 and my last one is labeled #1. Please reply soon!

When I try to submit an entry, I get loads of errors on the confirmation page. Example: Cannot open ID file guest_id.txt

for anyone that wants to know how i did it, i edited gb/lib/add.class.php and looked for the three instances of the insert image html code. after which i placed: "<br clear=left>". this solved it, and now all text in an entry appears below an inserted image.
