									I have been attempting to modify the Drop down menu on the Adv. Guestbook by Trevor's instructions and keep getting the following error;

  MySQL Error : Query Error
  Error Number: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'http://mysite.info, 10' at line 1
  Date        : Sat, September 4, 2004 08:05:13

  Server      : Apache/1.3.29 (Unix) mod_throttle/3.1.2 PHP/4.3.4
  Server Name : www.mysite.info

  ps I changed my server name and url above to mysite.info for privacy reasons

  Have checked everything thing many times and cannot see any errors
  that may cause this, anyone have any ideas??
  Otherwise the program is running great!
  Where and how would I just insert a link to my homepage, say right above

									I have checked the 2 sites you have mentioned above and went back and checked my pages, everything is as it should be and still get the same error message.
  I am using version 2.3.1.

  I would settle for a link somewhere on the pages other than the drop box at this point for my homepage, just so that users can navigate back more easily out of the guestbook. Have any ideas on doing that??

									Hi Kansas,

  I'm not sure what's causing the pronlem - by the sounds of it everything was working fine. Seems strange that your error message is saying the problem is in line 1. Could there be some incompatibility with MySQL, PHP, Server, Database etc?

  I see you've changed your guestbook back to it's original settings - I guess that measn the problem didn't get sorted

  The link that Amber222 posted to <<< http://proxy2.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3174 >>> was something that got resolved via e-mail. I seem to remember that she'd made a small error when following the instructions and that was what caused the problem.

  Do you want to e-mail me a copy of your header.php and gb.class.php files and I'll have a mess around and see if I can get something sorted for you (same e-mail address as before is fine).

  Trevor
