Hi Everyone,

My guest book is intended for family members, many of which are Chinese. They have told me that when they write in Chinese characters they often hit an error. I tried it myself and it seems it only allows about 10-15 characters per entry. Is there any way to enlarge this?

Thanks

Are we talking about the name etc or the actual message?

In General Settings what do you have the maximum message length set to?

Wow, you replied so quickly. I just assumed it would take longer and moved off the forum.

The general settings are;

6: min message
1500:max message
40: max word

Can't really remember, but I think I set this middle value larger anyway, but didn't really help.

Again, thanks for being so prompt.

Does the limit only happen on posting or does it also happen on previewing the entry?

Hi Carbonize, thanks for sticking with me. Sorry to keep you waiting, had some problems with my internet connection and just had it restored, temp. Sounds like a line, but true.

I tried the guest book, it does it in preview mode too.

It gives the error message

Is there any solution to my problem? I answered your last question, just wondered if any progress had been made?
Yours hopefully,

I have to admit, I'm a little disappointed. All other posts have been answered, this one has been ignored. Was my question different from the others..no. Did I need help like the others...yes.
