I am a newbee at scripting an so, but i have a problem, sometimes i can wote more than once, and sometime just one time ? is there a bug
help
Hi!

I user advanced poll on my site and i think it's a great tool! Before i understood the adminpanel i tried to add a session.php but it wouldn't help.

Then i found Server time offset and Locking timeout in the adminpanel and that's just exact what i needed.

I just want a person to vote once in a month. So that he wont be able to vote until the next month..

What IS server time offset and locking timeout?

Thanks in advance

/F
Found it

Just thought I'd add my own pointers to this compendium of tips and tutorials. Sticky post, most appropriate spot right?

The snippet of code that the admin dialogue provides, is the easiest way to get the poll on your site. Thus, to display your latest poll:

In your head. And:

In your body.

But what if you'd like to style your poll beyond the default (the default btw, is the one w/ multi-coloured bars)? I toyed w/ snagging excerpts from the demos and came up with this:

Which will style your poll by the "simple" template w/ the single colour bars.

This:

Will style your poll by the "popup" template.

And this:

The default, plain and simple templates can be modified w/ these lines inserted right after the template set line:

And for the record? Fantastico is a BAD idea. Use Thune's instructions, or follow one of the various tutorials that're linked around here and do an install on your own.

Next? Figuring out how to display the pie graph for results while using the booth.php include.
I experience the same problem - see http://www.kurandanet.com/addlink.html I sent an email to proxy2.de but so far no reply. if I do get some word from them, I shall let you know.
Kind regards
Peter

my poll is working ok, but the graphics will not show ??? i have uploaded them in binary and i think the path is ok
bu no
I'm using the file method and when I edit the index file in the pages directory it resets to it's previous setting.

And I have no idea how to set up the MySQL. I know how to create the databases but don't know how to create the databases
I go to
www.mysite.com/poll/install.php

I have the Install Panel.

I click on "Next".

Nothing happens.

??

Thanks.
I'm not seeing any poll on that page.
Thanks.

Sorry for the double post. I just noticed that Advanced Poll is not valid xhtml. This might be causing the problems, rather than a directory issue.
Thank you for reading this.

I am trying to add a poll to a page outside the /poll/ directory. While the poll seems to work beautifully, the template colors are not being used. The images used for the bars are working but the border and background color of the title just do njot show up. I am guessing this is some sort of file path issue as the previews and demos inside the /poll/ directory look perfect.

How do I modify the code I have copied from the demo page so that templates work one level up from the poll directory?
How do I set the counter to change the number that shows up?
