The answer is no. This has been discussed several times. Please use the search feature of the forum.
You have allowed HTML in your guestbook and they abused this to post a javascript alert window.
It's a start but leaves some things out and doesn't edit the timestamp entry. I'll take another look at writing an update script for this. May I ask why you are updating?
Also you could edit the body.php file found in the templates folder to include a link in the HTML.
Are we talking about the dates shown in the Advanced Guestbook script? If so can you give a description of how you wish the date to appear and I will write a modification for you.
Due to parts of the links being hardcoded into the scripts you must leave the files where they are.
I assume you mean a shoutbox. This is a different thing. You can easily add one yourself by placing the code in the templates.
Hmmm sounds like what you want is the ability for them to still leave their email address but not have it displayed in the guestbook. If so the second part of my quick fix should do this.
I could write you a mod to add the option to allow email addresses to the admin. But why would you want to?
Nope but you can prevent spam by using my image verification mod. Do a search for it on here.

I am pretty "lost" at this point

Sounds like you are confusing Spam with hacking.
no as I've been busy working on the new version of the guestbook and playing Halo 2. Well more playing halo 2.

Email me with your problem then I can answer it in work.
Lot of bumps there Amber. You a bit accident prone ?
If you are running version 2.2 or upgraded to 2.3.1 but put your old sessions.class.php file in there then you are susceptible to the login exploit.
Login to 127.0.0.1 using an FTP client and change the permissions using the FTP client. There are other ways of doing it but this is easiest.
